How long does it take fom the marina to the Whale Shark area?
The boat ride will take approximately 45 minutes from Isla Mujeres, or 55 minutes departing from the marina north of Cancun. The
Whale Shark Season starts around the 1st of June and ends around the second week of September. So don’t miss this unique opportunity if you are visiting Cancun during the summer months!

These endangered species are protected. Touching the Whale Sharks is strictly prohibited. No riding nor feeding marine life. We must remain 5 yards away from them to avoid any type of contact (even by accident).
Please bring alternative sun protection like long-sleeved rash-guards or shirts, hats and sunglasses. Organic or mineral based sunscreen only after swimming activities.
Everyone is required to wear a life jacket.
Boat maximum capacity is 10 guests. Up to 2 people in the water at the same time + 1 guide (official rules).
Activities may get canceled due to windy weather (big waves). The Harbor Master has the last word.
Restrictions: Tour not recommended for pregnant women, babies, seniors or weak swimmers. Excellent health condition required. Guests must be at least 6 years old and able to swim on their own.

We will swim with Whale Sharks only if the conditions allow us to go in the water, the length of each swim depends on each person’s swimming skills. Sessions are conducted one couple (plus a guide) at a time to ensure everyone has a great experience while respecting the Whale Sharks. Touching the marine life is strictly prohibited.
