A lot of people come to Mexico without knowing what to expect from the Yucatan. Today there are many families living in less fortunate conditions. During our tours we drive through many small villages in the Mayan Riviera. As we pass by several rural schools and different Mayan towns, we would like to invite you to be part of this emotive and grateful experience for your own! Share, give and make lives better by donating school supplies, gently-used clothes, second-hand toys or other useful gifts.
Experiment a complete new way of supporting local communities while you have an incredible day touring with your family or friends. The best part is that you can donate as little or as much as you want! You may gather some crayons and coloring books or simply a football (soccer) to share with the local kids. We can arrange a quick stop depending on your itinerary and the date of your tour. Some places we support are:
Rural schools: remember they have school holidays during which they close.
The Mayan Village: Some times the children are home, they will come out to greet us. You may bring second hand toys and clothes.
Hekab-Be Public Library: The local children are learning English and spending quality time with the volunteers from Canada, Mexico and the USA.
Please let us know in advance if you wish to participate. Thank you for your generosity.
